The Hartalika Teej Mahotsav 2025, a grand celebration of devotion, tradition, and cultural solidarity, was organized with success at Yamuna Sports Complex, Surajmal Vihar, Delhi.
The event was organized by Hamro Swabhiman Trust in association with Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar, and became a historic platform where the strong spiritual and cultural bonds between India and Nepal were set
Celebrating faith and heritage
The festival, which is devoted to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, had the benevolent presence of Yog Rishi Swami Ramdev Ji and Ayurveda Shiromani Acharya Balkrishna Ji, along with Delhi Ministers Shri Pravesh Verma and Shri Kapil Mishra.
The dignity was further added by the presence of His Excellency Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, the Ambassador of Nepal to India. Their visit lent spiritual flavor to the festivities and strengthened the cultural kinship bond between the two countries.Thousands of devotees from Delhi, Uttarakhand, Assam, Darjeeling, Dehradun, and Nepal participated in fasting rituals, Shiva worship, devotional music, and traditional dance, highlighting the common heritage and time-worn customs shared by people across frontiers.
Acknowledging excellence
Five eminent individuals were awarded the Hamro Gaurav Award 2025 in acknowledgment of outstanding contributions in diverse fields. The laureates included:
- • Padma Shri Naren Gurung for his contribution to Nepali folk music
- • Padma Shri Dropadi Ghimire for service to society
- • Padmashri Geeta Upadhyay for literary prowess
- • Inspector Man Singh Bhatt for bravery and committed service
- • Wrestler Deva Thapa for sporting achievements
The honours were handed over by Minister Shri Pravesh Verma and Acharya Balkrishna Ji, recognising their outstanding contribution in enriching society and culture.
The celebration was enhanced by brilliant performances of world-renowned singers Prakash Saput and Vinita Kshetri.
Traditional Gorkhali–Nepali dance performances by Darjeeling, Assam, Dehradun, and Delhi NCR-based artists brought in additional hues and infused the environment with energy while showcasing the cultural diversity of the festival.Looking AheadDeclaring future intentions, Delhi Ministers Pravesh Verma and Kapil Mishra said that the festival will be held on an even bigger scale next year with direct Delhi Government support.The Hartalika Teej Mahotsav 2025 turned out to be greater than a festival.
