Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) President Venkatesh Prasad inaugurated the Vanamahotsava (tree plantation) programme at the premises of Satyatmatirth Education Society in the premises of BK Model High School in Belagavi on Saturday
Belagavi: Saying that academic knowledge alone is not sufficient for success, Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) president and former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad said that interest, determination, discipline, hard work, and commitment are equally vital to achieving one's goals. He was speaking as the chief guest at the World Environment Day programme organised by Satyatmatirtha Educational Institution at BK Model High School premises here on Saturday. Recalling his school days, Prasad said that his educational environment was modest, with no high-end facilities. “We had small classrooms, blackboards, chalk pieces, and 45-50 students per classroom. Yet, the values of discipline, bonding, and teamwork that we learnt there have guided me throughout my life,” he said.
