Despite Tottenham reportedly holding a buy-back option, Kane made it clear that a reunion isn’t on his mind — at least for now.

Harry Kane has shut down speculation about a possible return to Tottenham Hotspur, insisting he’s “very happy" at Bayern Munich and fully focused on winning more trophies with the German champions.

The 32-year-old England captain left Spurs in 2023 in an €100 million (£86.4m) move to Bayern, ending a long chapter with his boyhood club where he became their all-time leading scorer but never lifted a major trophy.

Kane Set On Staying In Munich

Despite Tottenham reportedly holding a buy-back option, Kane made it clear that a reunion isn’t on his mind — at least for now.

“I’m not sure [if I’ll go back]. I’m very happy here in Munich. It’s not something I’m thinking about," he told the Daily Mail.

“It’ll always be ‘we’ with Spurs because I spent my whole life there. I’m a fan of them and will always watch them and see how they’re getting on. They will always be a part of my life for sure, but as for now, I’m loving it here."

Focused on Medals, Not Memories

Since his move, Kane has flourished. He has already scored 21 goals in all competitions this season, continuing the prolific form that made him one of the Premier League’s greatest ever strikers.

Last year, he lifted the first major silverware of his career under Vincent Kompany, and he’s now chasing more success in Germany, where Bayern are eyeing back-to-back Bundesliga titles.

“It was great to see [Spurs win a trophy this year]," Kane said. “I’ve got a lot of friends there with the players and staff. We know how long we waited and how close we’d come in the past, so it was big for everyone – the fans, the club and all involved – to have that feeling and get that one over the line. That’s always important, and hopefully they can push on and win more."

The Shearer Record Still in Sight

Before leaving England, Kane sat just 47 goals short of Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record of 260 goals. He remains second on the list with 213, and his sustained excellence at Bayern has only fueled speculation about whether he might one day return to break it.

While such a comeback would make headlines, Kane isn’t thinking that far ahead.

His current Bayern contract runs until 2027, and although he reportedly has a €65 million (£56.7m) release clause that can be triggered next summer, it would require him to formally declare his intention to leave before the January window closes — something he’s shown no interest in doing.
