Hazaribag farmer accidentally falls in well, dies

Hazaribag: A 27-year-old farmer drowned in a well on Monday evening while irrigating his field. The deceased was identified as Sonu Kumar, resident of Kanchanpur village under Katkamsandi block in the district.

Locals said Sonu was engaged in watering crops when he accidentally slipped and fell into the well. Villagers rushed to rescue him but he could not be saved. Sonu left behind three sons. Pelawal police outpost in-charge, Ved Prakash Pandey said that body was sent for post-mortem after which it was handed to their relatives. He said, “Preliminary findings suggest it was an accidental death.”
