HDFC rolls out GenAI platform

MUMBAI: HDFC Bank is accelerating its digital transformation with the launch of a centralised generative AI platform, marking a shift from experimentation to structured deployment. In his annual letter to shareholders, MD and CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan announced that more than 15 "lighthouse programmes" - scalable, high-impact pilots - will be implemented to enhance operations, staff productivity and customer service.He expressed confidence that the bank will move forward substantially during the current financial year with respect to real-time credit decisioning.
