Trump pressed Zelenskyy to end the war in Ukraine, citing the example of the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014 under the Obama administration, after his talks with Putin.

US President Donald Trump on Sunday (local time) pushed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to accept a peace deal in the ongoing war against Russia, saying he has the power to end the war almost immediately, or he can continue to fight on.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump also cited the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014 under the Obama administration, while ruling out Ukraine’s inclusion in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), something that Russia has opposed for long.
“President Zelenskyy of Ukraine can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wants to, or he can continue to fight. Remember how it started. No getting back Obama given Crimea (12 years ago, without a shot being fired!), and NO GOING INTO NATO BY UKRAINE. Some things never change!!!" he said.
