While speaking to the media after the game, Connor McDavid took the blame on himself and the team, but it seems like his words have sparked a speculation about his future with the team.

The Edmonton Oilers’ captain spoke to the media about the loss against the Florida Panthers and said, "Obviously their forecheck was great. They tilted the rink, they were able to stay on top of us all over the place. Never really able to generate any momentum up the ice." Connor McDavid added, "We kept trying the same thing over and over again, just banging our heads against the wall. Credit to them, they played well." But fans believe the Edmonton Oilers’ captain will soon be leaving the team.
