Raashii Khanna recently shared her thoughts on her 'Telusu Kada' co-star Siddhu Jonnalagadda, labeling him a 'refreshingly straightforward individual' who brings positivity to their romantic drama. She reflected on the film's significant emotional challenges and how it has contributed to her growth as both an actress and an individual.

Raashii Khanna will be next seen in the upcoming romance drama film 'Telusu Kada', starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Srinidhi Shetty, directed by debutant Neeraja Kona. As the film is set to release on October 17, Raashii described Siddhu's character in the movie, saying he's a 'blatantly honest guy' rather than 'toxic'.In 'Telusu Kada', Siddhu plays Varun, a man with no filter and a tendency to speak his mind, while Raashii portrays Anjali and Srinidhi essays the role of Raaga.While speaking with Hindustan Times, the 'Yodha' actress clarified that, despite what the trailer might suggest, Varun is not a toxic character. "Everyone wants honesty in relationships, till it's a tough pill to swallow. And his character doesn't lie," she explains, adding, "He's not toxic, he's just a blatantly honest guy."

A film that helped her grow

Khanna further talked about her experience working on the film. She shared that 'Telusu Kada' demanded a lot from her both emotionally and artistically. "This film helped me grow as an actor and as a person because it demanded a lot from me," she shares. "Now that the film is releasing, I feel like a part of me is also." The actress also revealed how she connected deeply with her character and the fine balance between love and self-respect she has.

On-screen chemistry and bonding off-screen

Talking about her co-stars, Khanna shared that she, Siddhu, Srinidhi, and Harsha spent ample time together before and during the shoot to ensure their chemistry would go well on the screen. "I've realised that Siddhu might be giving these funny comebacks in interviews, but he's actually a serious actor on set," she says with admiration. "He's all about the scene when he's working. I learnt a lot from him."

Respect for Siddhu's journey

The 'Aranmanai 4' also shared about Siddhu's journey as an outsider in the industry. "He told me he had to learn everything because he didn't have a choice; he had no cushion. He lives and breathes cinema; for him, it's his life. I am not like that, for me, cinema is only a part of my life," she said.
