Heavy wind uproots banyan tree in Narthamalai

Heavy wind accompanied by rain in Narthamalai area in Pudukottai district uprooted a banyan tree on Sunday. The roadside tree was on the Bommadimalai to Narthamalai Road near Samathuvapuram, said Forest Department sources. The tree fell on the overhead electric wire causing disruption in power supply in that area.
