Help desk set up at Kallakurichi Collectorate to guide students in choosing higher education courses

The Kallakurichi district administration has set up a help desk at the Collectorate to provide information and answer queries of students with respect to higher education opportunities.

According to Collector M.S. Prasanth, the help desk established under the initiative ‘Uyarvukku Padi’ is designed to assist students in choosing suitable higher education courses based on their marks, advising students to apply for one or more courses for safer options and offering support towards various educational needs.

The Uyarvukku Padi programme, envisages mapping of higher educational institutions — government, government-aided and private — in the vicinity of the residences of the prospective beneficiaries, and securing admission for the students by involving Higher Education, Adi-Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare and other line departments.
