Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed that three unfired bullet casings were found with inscriptions believed to have been written by the shooter

Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact weapon used in the attack
US authorities on Friday confirmed that bullet casings recovered from the scene of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination bore handwritten messages.
Kirk, 31, was shot and killed during a public appearance at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. He was struck by a single bullet to the neck while addressing a large crowd, sparking national shock and a major manhunt.
The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, a Utah local, has since been taken into custody.
At a press conference held on Friday, Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed that three unfired bullet casings were found with inscriptions believed to have been written by the shooter.
The messages included “Hey fascist! Catch!", “O bella ciao, bella ciao" — a reference to the iconic Italian anti-fascist song — and “If you read this you are gay lmao".
Governor Cox also said another casing had an inscription reading, “Notices, bulges", though its meaning remains unclear.
The press briefing was attended by FBI Director Kash Patel, state officials, and law enforcement representatives.
In addition to the casings, investigators also recovered a bolt-action rifle believed to have been used in the shooting. The firearm was wrapped in a dark towel and fitted with a scope mount.
