Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday shared images of the signed US-Iran agreement on social media, describing the document as a historic achievement and a symbol of Iran’s strength following months of negotiations with Washington.
Posting photographs of the agreement bearing signatures from both sides, Pezeshkian said the deal demonstrated that peace could be achieved through mutual respect.
“This is a historical document and a message from a powerful Iran: Peace will be realized in the shadow of mutual respect," the Iranian president wrote.
He added that the Islamic Republic remained committed to global peace while preserving its dignity, independence and national interests.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been committed and steadfast to global peace while preserving its dignity and independence, as well as to progress and regional cooperation," Pezeshkian said.

Document Reveals Framework Of Agreement
The images shared by Pezeshkian appear to show an “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding" signed between Iran and the United States, laying out a roadmap for ending hostilities and normalising relations between the two countries.
According to the document, both sides agreed to an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations and pledged not to initiate attacks against each other. The memorandum also commits Iran and the United States to respect each other’s sovereignty and refrain from interfering in internal affairs.
The agreement further states that negotiations on a final peace accord will be completed within 60 days of signing the memorandum.
Sanctions Relief And Economic Package
One of the most significant provisions in the document relates to sanctions relief for Iran.
According to the text, the United States will begin removing sanctions and other restrictions imposed on Iran immediately after the signing of the agreement. The memorandum also provides for the phased release of blocked Iranian funds.
The document further states that the United States and its regional partners will work on an economic reconstruction and development package for Iran reportedly worth up to USD 300 billion, with implementation details to be finalised as part of the final agreement.
Hormuz To Reopen For Commercial Shipping
The memorandum contains detailed provisions regarding the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes.
Under the agreement, Iran will facilitate the safe passage of commercial vessels through the strait and will not impose shipping charges for an initial 60-day period. The document also outlines efforts to remove military obstacles and maritime hazards and restore normal commercial traffic.
Iran is expected to coordinate with Oman and other Gulf states on maritime services and navigation arrangements in the strategically important waterway.
Nuclear Commitments
The document also includes provisions related to Iran’s nuclear programme.
According to the memorandum, Tehran has agreed not to produce or acquire nuclear weapons and to maintain its nuclear activities within a peaceful civilian framework under verification mechanisms.
In return, the United States is expected to support the peaceful development of Iran’s civilian nuclear energy sector and facilitate access to relevant technology and fuel for peaceful purposes.
Diplomatic Relations To Be Restored
The agreement lays out a pathway towards restoring diplomatic ties between Tehran and Washington.
Both countries are expected to begin discussions on reopening diplomatic missions and re-establishing formal diplomatic engagement after years of strained relations.
The publication of the document provides the clearest public insight yet into the commitments made by both sides and offers a rare glimpse into the framework of a deal that could reshape regional geopolitics and ease tensions between the longtime adversaries.
By releasing the signed pages, Pezeshkian appeared to frame the agreement as a diplomatic success for Tehran, portraying it as evidence that Iran secured peace while preserving its sovereignty and independence.
