Who is Shreyasi Joshi?

Born in Pune, Maharashtra, Shreyasi Joshi began skating at the tender age of three, alongside her sister Swarali. By the age of six, the sisters were already claiming medals at national competitions—a testament to their early dedication and talent.

As she frew, Shreyasi specialized in speed slalom and classic slalom, showcasing both agility and precision in tight-turn skating and obstacle navigation. She is also proficient in freestyle inline skating—a discipline demanding creativity and technical skill.

She quickly became a force on the national circuit, where she dominated the age‑group categories and eventually progressed to the senior women’s events.

National Dominance

At the 59th National Roller Skating Championship held in Mohali in December 2021, Shreyasi swept the senior girls’ category, earning gold medals in both Speed Slalom and Classic Slalom. Her performance stood out with the highest points of the girls’ division—an impressive 83.33.

The following year, at the 62nd National Roller Skating Championship 2024 in Bengaluru, she again claimed two golds, one each in speed slalom and classic slalom, alongside Jinesh Nanal, making both of them the only skaters in India to achieve that double-gold feat that year.

International Exposure

At just 12 years old, Shreyasi represented India at the 2017 World Roller Games in Nanjing, China, competing in both freestyle and speed slalom events—finishing 20th in freestyle slalom and 22nd in speed slalom.

Asian Games Selection & Training Regimen

In the trials for the 19th Asian Games (Hangzhou 2023), she was among seven Pune skaters who made the Indian contingent—a standout selection highlighting the city’s thriving skating community.

Academic Pursuits & Balancing Studies

Shreyasi is a student at MIT World Peace University (MIT‑WPU) in Pune, pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering.

At just 21 years of age, Shreyasi Joshi has already established a remarkable resume: multiple national championships, international competition experience, and an elite-calibre training routine.
