Patna: Attacking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as well as ally RJD over his controversial statements against Narendra Modi and Chhath, Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday said whenever they had used abusive language against the Prime Minister, “their party has been wiped out”.Addressing an election rally in Lakhisarai for NDA candidate, deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, Shah appealed to voters to ensure their victory so that it would even resonate in Italy (senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s native place). “Dekho Lakhisarai walon, button itni jor se dabana ki current Italy mein ja kar lage (press the button so hard that the current strikes Italy),” he said.“Yesterday (Wednesday), by insulting PM Modi, Rahul baba also insulted Chhathi Maiya, saying those who celebrate Chhath, do drama.

Rahul baba, neither you nor your mother will understand the importance of Chhathi Maiya. Whenever Congress leaders have used abusive language against Modi ji, their party has been wiped out,” Shah said, reminding an earlier “insult to Modi ji’s mother”.He added when the ballot boxes open on Nov 14, the Mahagathbandhan will be swept away. “The people of the state are going to give a befitting reply to Lalu and his company who dream of coming back to power in Bihar on the strength of infiltrators,” he said, adding “jungle raj (lawlessness)” will never enter Bihar again.

“Investors who had fled the state during the RJD-Congress jungle raj are now returning,” he claimed. At another rally in Nalanda, he picked up the infiltrator issue.“While the NDA govt is preparing the youth of Bihar to win medals in 2036 Olympics, the opposition RJD and Congress are trying to win elections with the help of ‘ghuspaithiyas’ (infiltrators), who indulge in anti-national activities. Rahul baba was here recently on a ‘ghuspaithia bachao yatra’.

No matter how many tours Rahul Baba organises for the infiltrators, the Modi govt will selectively send them back to wherever they came from,” he said.On a day Rahul said his alliance would built world’s best university in Nalanda if voted to power, Shah said PM Modi rebuilt Nalanda University, which was destroyed in the 12th century.Targeting the RJD, he said Lalu’s son, who has been involved in scams, he will only carry out corruption if voted to power.“There is no corruption charge of even 25 paise against CM Nitish Kumar in his 20 years at the helm and against Modi ji during his 11 years as PM,” the Union home minister said at a rally in Munger, mentioning the fodder scam and land for jobs cases against Lalu.Addressing the rally in Munger, Shah appealed to the voters to elect deputy CM Samrat Choudhary from Tarapur and other NDA candidates in the district. He said the NDA govt in Bihar has developed world-class infrastructure.

“People keep telling me they want their MLA to be made a minister. But we already made Samrat the deputy CM. Elect him and Modi ji will make him a big leader,” Shah said. While addressing an election rally in Paliganj, Shah said again took up the issue of alleged “jungle raj” in Bihar during Lalu-Rabri Devi rule, which he said was ended by Nitish. Around 32,000 kidnappings and 12 major massacres took place during Lalu’s rule, Shah said.
