Advocate Hitesh Jain resigned as full-time member of the 23rd Law Commission, with his resignation accepted by the President effective October 29, the Union Law Ministry announced.

Advocate Hitesh Jain has resigned from his position as a full-time member of the Law Commission, the Union Law Ministry announced on Thursday.
The resignation has been accepted by the President, effective October 29.
Jain was appointed as one of the full-time members of the 23rd Law Commission on April 15 under the chairmanship of retired Supreme Court judge Dinesh Maheshwari.
The Law Commission was established on September 3 last year for a term of three years.
Following the recent retirement of the panel’s member secretary, Reeta Vasishta, law secretary Anju Rathi Rana has been given additional charge.
