Holiday for schools in Chikkamagaluru, Hassan districts on Tuesday

The Chikkamagaluru district administration has declared a holiday for anganwadis, primary schools, and high schools in parts of seven taluks on Tuesday, in the wake of heavy rains.

The holiday applies to schools in Koppa, Kalasa, Mudigere, Sringeri, N.R. Pura taluks, and those in Kasaba, Ambale, Avathi, Jagara, Vastare, Aldur, Khandya hoblis of Chikkamagaluru taluk, and Lakkavalli and Lingadahalli hoblis of Tarikere taluk.

Chikkamagaluru Deputy Commissioner Meena Nagaraj has instructed the schools to compensate for the loss of class hours by holding special classes on holidays.

Hassan Deputy Commssioner K.S. Lathakumari has announced a holiday for anganwadis, primary schools, and high schools in Sakleshpur and Arkalgud taluks; Palya, and K. Hoskote hoblis in Alur taluk; Bikkodu and Arehalli hoblis of Belur taluk on Tuesday.

Schools in both districts have been instructed to hold extra classes on holidays to compensate for the loss of class hours.
