Iran’s Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani on Wednesday issued a fresh warning to adversaries, saying Tehran will soon deploy a weapon that the “enemy" fears, adding, “I hope they won’t have a heart attack."

Speaking about the ongoing conflict, Irani said the Islamic Republic would “very soon" confront its opponents with a capability positioned close to them. He did not disclose details of the weapon but indicated it would shift the balance on the battlefield.

Claims Of Retaliatory Strikes

The commander said Iran had carried out multiple retaliatory operations since hostilities began, including several missile strikes targeting the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln. He claimed these attacks temporarily disrupted US air operations from the carrier.

Irani added that Iran’s forces had launched over 100 waves of strikes against US and Israeli targets across the region, describing them as “decisive" responses to what he termed aggression.

Strait Of Hormuz Tensions

He also referred to Iran’s move to restrict access to the Strait of Hormuz, saying the waterway had effectively been closed to vessels linked to adversaries. Passage, he said, is now subject to approval from Iranian authorities.

Warning against further escalation, Irani said Iran would take immediate operational action if opposing forces moved closer in the region.

Slams US Actions

The Iranian commander criticised the US for seizing Iranian vessels, calling the actions “piracy" and accusing American forces of detaining crew members and their families.

Despite the ongoing blockade, he said some Iranian vessels had managed to continue operations.

‘Regret-Inducing Blow’

Irani said Iran’s armed forces remain committed to responding forcefully, asserting that any further confrontation would be met with a strong retaliatory strike.

The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the region, with both sides continuing to signal readiness for further escalation.
