'How far are you willing to go?': Influencer blasted for 5K run inside cramped airplane lavatory

An 11-hour flight usually means movies, naps, and stiff legs. For one marathon runner, it meant finding 5 kilometers somewhere between the cabin seats and the airplane lavatory.Content creator and self-described running enthusiast Dom Stroh, who posts under the handle @dom.stroh, shared a now-viral video of himself completing a planned 5K mid-flight. The clip, which has racked up nearly two million views on social media, shows him jogging, not down the aisle, but inside an airplane bathroom. The footage captures him squeezing into the tight lavatory, starting his smartwatch, and repeatedly stepping in circles.

At one point, he steps up onto the closed toilet lid, turns, and steps down, over and over again. The caption on the video reads: “11 hour flight, but 5K Run on the plan.”Text overlay in the clip displays statistics from Strava, the activity-tracking app popular among runners and cyclists. According to the on-screen data, he kept up the motion for nearly an hour.

Exactly how he avoided dizziness in the cramped space remains a mystery.

It is unclear where Stroh was traveling, and The Post reported that it reached out to him for comment.

“So now ik, the reason behind that turbulence”

The video quickly sparked reactions online, with many viewers torn between amusement and disbelief. One user wrote, “So now ik, the reason behind that turbulence”.Another commented, “You’re gonna be the reason when there’s no running signs in the toilet”.A third viewer questioned the stunt entirely, asking: “How far are you willing to go to do stupid things on social media to gain visibility?”While passengers on long-haul flights are often encouraged to get up and stretch to prevent stiffness or blood clots, turning an airplane bathroom into a personal training studio is not standard in-flight behavior.

Not the only mid-air controversy

As unusual as Stroh’s in-flight workout may seem, it’s far from the only headline-making incident at cruising altitude.According to East2West, another passenger on a flight from Doha to Moscow made waves for a different reason. A video obtained by the outlet showed a woman reclining her seat and placing her feet on the seat in front of her, forcing the passenger seated there to crouch down.Fellow passengers and flight crew reportedly intervened.“They tried to persuade her, tried and tried,” one observer said. “They tried to persuade her to move her legs. She doesn’t want to, she wants to fly like this. People are going mad.”Eventually, according to the outlet, the woman relented and moved her feet.
