A few hours ago, the Oilers’ head coach Kris Knoblauch spoke to the media and said, “Zach's season's most likely done. He's getting surgery today, and yeah, it'll be a while, so we're not expecting him back for the playoffs” and fans are shocked by this announcement.A fan commented, “As much as I cannot stand the Oil, this blows. Dude was playing unreal, hate to see injuries this time of year”, while another fan wrote, “Zach Hyman out for the season is a brutal blow to the Oilers! Surgery today, May 29, and his season’s done how far can Edmonton go in the playoffs now?”

While Zach Hyman has not issued a statement yet about his surgery, Connor McDavid had recently credited Zach Hyman after the team won in Game 3 on Friday.
The captain of the Edmonton Oilers, Connor McDavid said, “So, he's a wrecking ball out there right now.
