One of the most decorated Olympians of all time, Michael Phelps, is adjusting to perhaps his biggest role yet, that of a father. The former swimmer has been married to Nicole Johnson Phelps, 36, since 2016, and they share four sons.

That bubbly, warm embrace of laughter translated from late-night diaper changes to poolside playdates, as the couple has tackled life as a family of six.

On May 5, 2016, Michael and Nicole had their first son, Boomer Robert Phelps. In 2018, they welcomed their second son, Beckett Richard Phelps, on February 12, then Maverick Nicholas Phelps on September 9, 2019. The couple welcomed their fourth child, son Nico Michael Phelps, on January 16, 2024.
