The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has postponed the Himachal Pradesh Forest Service (Assistant Conservator of Forest) Preliminary Examination 2025, originally scheduled for September 7, to a new tentative date of October 5, 2025.
The decision comes amid severe weather conditions, heavy rainfall, and ongoing landslides disrupting normal life across the state. Officials cited the safety of candidates as the top priority, following concerns raised by aspirants and directions from the state government. Candidates are advised to monitor the HPPSC official website for further updates regarding the examination.
Why was the exam postponed?
The HP Forest Service Preliminary (ACF) exam had to be rescheduled due to incessant rains, flooding, and landslides in various parts of Himachal Pradesh.
The Shimla Deputy Commissioner, under the Disaster Management Act, ordered closure of schools, colleges, ITIs, and coaching institutes, making it difficult for aspirants to travel or access study facilities.Check official HPPSC notice here.
New tentative exam date
