Human Skeleton Discovered in Ranchi: Police Investigate Possible Homicide

Ranchi: A human skeleton was found in a sack in the Mandar area of Ranchi on Tuesday, police said. Local villagers on Tuesday spotted it in a ditch after a foul smell spread in the area.

Following information from the villagers, a police team, along with forensic science laboratory personnel, reached the spot and recovered the bag.Police said that it is likely that the deceased was killed, and his body was packed in a bag. The Mandar police station officer in-charge, Manoj Karmali, on Wednesday said, “The DNA profile would be prepared to establish the identity of the deceased. The remains have been sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Science for post-mortem.”
