Tom Brady recently reflected on his controversial appearance in Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady, where comedians, teammates, and even his former coach took aim at every aspect of his life, with his divorce from supermodel Gisele Bündchen standing out as a major target.

Though Brady initially embraced the humor, he now admits the experience came with unexpected consequences.

Tom Brady admits it hurt his children more than he expected

“I had a great time,” Tom Brady explained when asked about his roast experience. “All we do is roast each other.” However, he candidly acknowledged one key regret: “The only thing that was hard for me was that I have kids that, you know, it hurts their feelings. When you’re a parent, and I didn’t think about those things, I learned a lesson.”

The roast didn’t only affect his children. Reports suggest that Bündchen herself was “deeply disappointed” by the event, calling the jokes about their divorce “irresponsible” and a “disrespectful portrayal of her family.” Comedians such as Kevin Hart and Tony Hinchcliffe, along with Brady’s former teammates Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, made no effort to hold back during the special.

Gisele Bündchen remains focused on family and personal growth

Since the public spectacle, Brady and Bündchen have reportedly reconciled their personal differences, focusing on co-parenting their children.

Bündchen recently shared how parenting comes with its own challenges, especially as their kids push back amid living in two separate homes. “Especially because now they’re in two different homes and there are two different ways,” she said.

Despite the drama, Bündchen remains resilient in the face of public judgment: “I can’t really worry about what other people say about me because what they say about me is none of my business… If I’m going to be affected by that, I’m never going to live my truth.”Also Read: How Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady’s breakup revealed the hidden pressure of power couplesFor both Brady and Bündchen, the experience has shaped their personal growth—Brady expanding into sports franchise ownership and Bündchen drawing strength from the lessons taught by her own mother.
