Telangana BJP claimed that “rowdies" were roaming freely in Hyderabad and accused the ruling Congress of “standing in support of such rowdyism".
“Rowdies spotted in broad daylight in Hyderabad brutally stabbing a young man with a knife to kill him. Standing in support of such rowdyism, Congress gave a ticket to a person from a goon family in the Jubilee Hills by-election. Standing as a bastion for anti-social forces, BRS remains silent on such incidents," the party posted on X.
The party also urged voters to “ensure BJP’s victory to protect Jubilee Hills."
“Let us teach a lesson to these two parties that do not care about the welfare of the people, and ensure BJP’s victory to protect Jubilee Hills," it added.
The Jubilee Hills by-poll has been scheduled for November 11.
Naveen Yadav is the Congress candidate in the by-election in the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency in Hyderabad. Jubilee Hills is a constituency where the late Maganti Gopinath held sway, first as a Telugu Desam candidate in 2014 and in 2018 and 2023 on the BRS ticket.
