Hyderabad MLC's office vandalised over remarks on K Kavitha, 1 injured in firing

Tension gripped the office of MLC Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, popularly known as Teenmaar Mallanna, on Sunday after his gunmen opened fire to disperse a group of protesters. The protesters, claiming to be members of Telangana Jagruthi — the cultural wing associated with BRS MLC K Kavitha — had gathered outside Mallanna's office in Hyderabad to condemn his recent remarks against Kavitha.

According to police sources, the situation turned volatile when the Jagruthi workers allegedly vandalised Mallanna's office premises. In response, Mallanna's gunman fired warning shots into the air to control the crowd.

The office of MLC Kavitha has claimed that one Telangana Jagruthi worker, identified as Sai, sustained injuries in the firing.
