In a sweeping night-long operation, the Cyberabad Police targeted secluded farmhouses on the outskirts of Hyderabad, finding them being used for unauthorised rave parties, gambling, and drug use.

The raids took place in zones such as Mudimyal (Chevella) and Tolkatta (Moinabad), where officers inspected 39 properties under the supervision of Yogesh Goutam, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police. Four cases were registered during the operation.

At one venue called “12 Farm" in Tolkatta, police found an unauthorised, ticket-based event with 29 attendees, featuring loud music, fireworks, and heavy alcohol consumption — held without any proper permissions.

Another property, the “Pranava Villa Hills," was discovered with illegally stored liquor. At yet another site — “Rithika Farm House" — about 150 students had gathered for a purported school event where alcohol was being consumed by adult organisers.

Officers also uncovered drug paraphernalia and hookah equipment at “Azeemuddin Farm House," and intercepted a vehicle transporting related items.

Technical teams set up checkpoints in addition to the property raids, and checked 165 vehicles of various kinds during the operation; three cases of drunken driving were recorded.

DCP Yogesh Goutam issued a stern warning that any event involving liquor or large gatherings at such farmhouses must obtain prior permission from the police and excise departments. “Any farmhouse management that violates such regulations will face stringent action as per law," he said in a statement.
