The iconic cycle chase scene from 'Shiva'
Ram Gopal Varma's film included some risky and raw action sequences. One of them was a scene where the protagonist Nagarjuna is seen riding a bicycle in an iconic chase, with a child seated in front of him. What made the director apologize was the risk at which she was seated.

In his recent social media post, the 63-year-old director shared a grown-up picture of the then-child actor Sushma.
He shared that she is now doing research in AI and Cognitive Science in the USA.
RGV wrote, "This is the grown up girl Sushma from the iconic cycle chase scene in SHIVA where she is sitting scared on the bar with Nagarjuna cycling in tension.. @symbolicsushi is now doing research in AI and Cognitive Science in the USA."
RGV issues apology to the child actor
Apologizing her, Ram Gopal Varma wrote, "Hey @symbolicsushi please accept my sincere apologies after 36 years for subjecting you to such a traumatic experience which I dint realise at that time ..The
directorial greed in me took over in being blinded to subjecting a little girl like you to such risky shots ..I apologise once again."

Sushma's reply to RGV
Replying to the director, Sushma wrote, "Being part of Shiva is a cherished memory. That cycle chase adventure influenced me and prepared me for later intellectual endeavors and adventures. I felt safe and excited to be part of something magical. Shiva remains a souvenir."The re-release version is a remastered version of the 1989 film 'Shiva'. The film's resolutions and audio have been enhanced with modern technology for a 4K and Dolby Atmos experience.
