Angel Reese created history with her beautiful transition from the world of hoops to glam and glitz. The Chicago Sky star added a feather to her cap after becoming the first pro athlete to star in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The 23-year-old turned teary-eyed after her manifestation came true sooner than she had expected.
Angel Reese was overwhelmed with emotions while living her Victoria’s Secret dream
2025 belongs to none other than Angel Reese. The WNBA star’s entry into the world of modeling started with Victoria’s Secret. While talking to CNN backstage, Reese turned emotional and revealed that she had manifested this moment while attending the show last year. The WNBA star said, “I posted on my (Instagram) Story last year, when I was here at the show watching front row.
I said, ‘I’m gonna be a Victoria’s Secret model one day. I didn’t know it was gonna come this fast.”
In between the conversation with CNN, Reese further mentioned,“Everybody looks different, but they’re all beautiful. (That’s) the inclusivity of being a Victoria’s Secret model and knowing that you can look beautiful in many different shades, sizes, lengths, heights — tall, short — you can be here.”Angel Reese even mentioned how being surrounded with beautiful women of different complexion, and ethnicity opened her eyes to the fact that beauty has no fixed standards, which spoke volumes about the inclusivity of being a Victoria’s Secret model.
Angel Reese reveals she has always been comfortable in her skin
Angel Reese was joined by some of the most popular faces in the modeling world, including supermodels Irina Shayk, Gigi Hadid, and Adriana Lima. The WNBA star revealed she wasn’t shy and instead has always felt confident about the way she looks. Reese said,

“I’m not going to shy away from looking like this, because I work my ass off for this body. Being sexy is just something that I love and always embrace.”Reese even shared how her appearance is the result of conversations with Victoria’s Secret CEO Hillary Super. She revealed, “She really told me… ‘You can be here. You’re an athlete, you have the body, and you look amazing, and you’re really, really confident.”Pregnant model Jasmine Tookes walked the runway portraying the image of Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus.” Her baby bump was visible from the pearl and gold macrame embellishment attached to the lingerie. Plus-size models Ashley Graham, Yumi Nu, and Paloma Elsesser even appeared for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
