Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari flagged the perennial pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR during an event, saying he gets allergies because of the air quality. "I live here for three days, (and) I get allergies because of this pollution," he explained.

The 68-year-old BJP leader further said that transport services contribute 40 per cent to pollution. "I am the transport minister and 40 per cent pollution happens because of transport itself," Gadkari said at the event.
