"I hope they are in love," says Glen Powell's ex Gigi Paris; addresses rumours about Sydney Sweeney

Glen Powell’s ex-girlfriend, Gigi Paris, became candid about the rumours between the ‘Anyone But You’ co-stars and her break-up that occurred because of an alleged PR stunt. Accusing the 36-year-old actor of mistreating her, she claimed that she walked off because she was shattered.

In a podcast interview with Emma Klipstein’s ‘Too Much,’ without naming any names, Gigi revealed details about her relationship with an A-lister. Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney were rumoured to have a romance during the filming and promotion of the film, ‘Anyone But You.’

What did Gigi Paris feel?

“It was just, this is what I have to do for my job. I had two options. I could either pretend like I was going along with everything and have everyone wonder, like, 'Are they hooking up? Are they not hooking up? Is she okay with this? Or stand up for myself and say, 'No, I'm actually not okay with this, and I'm walking away.'

So that's what I decided to do ... I was shattered,” Gigi said in the interview. Furthermore, the 32-year-old said that she merely needed the respect she deserved in the relationship. Paris said that the relationship was fed to the dogs because of how it was handled. While she realised that work comes first, Gigi, whom the A-lister dated for three years, stated that she didn’t deserve to be made a fool of at the end.

You just need to stand up...

“Where are you when you just need to stand up and say, ‘No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend.

I wouldn’t do that.’ That’s all that needed to be said. And that wasn’t said... Never once,” Gigi said, before adding that later the rumours turned out to be a PR scheme, which came at the expense of their relationship.

Was the split worth the film?

Furthermore, the model recalled the incident where she flew to Australia to be near her boyfriend; however, she was advised not to be on the sets. While she questioned whether all this was just for a film, she added, “And I honestly hoped that they’d end up together, because I was like, at least it would make it worth it for me, you know? I hope they are in love or whatnot.”
