Donald Trump ignored a female reporter's question at a White House event, commenting on her looks.

US President Donald Trump declined to answer a female reporter’s question during a joint press interaction with Argentine President Javier Milei, instead remarking that he “just like[s] to watch her talk." The exchange occurred during a wide-ranging press session in the White House where Donald Trump took questions on topics including his planned bailout for Argentina, his warnings to Hamas to disarm and criticism of New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.

As the briefing drew to a close, Donald Trump told reporters that his administration was “closing up Democrat programs that we disagree with" and that they were “never going to open again."

When a female journalist called out a final question- “As China deepens its presence in Latin America, what role do you see for the US?"- Donald Trump looked up, smiled and pointed at her to continue. As she spoke, he turned to US Vice President JD Vance, who was seated beside him and said, “I just like to watch her talk."

Chuckling, Donald Trump then told the reporter, “Good job. Thank you, darling," before turning away without answering the question.

The moment adds to a growing list of Donald Trump’s controversial comments about women during public appearances. Earlier, Donald Trump made remarks about White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s appearance, saying, “That face… and those lips, they move like a machine gun." The comment echoed one he made in August, when he said, “It’s that face, it’s that brain, it’s those lips, the way they move."

At the Gaza peace summit in Egypt earlier this week, Donald Trump referred to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni as a “beautiful young woman," adding, “You don’t mind being called beautiful, right? Because you are."
