‘I’m a Marathi Hindu, not Hindi Hindu’: Avinash Jadhav after release as MNS protest halted in Mira Bhayandar

MUMBAI: Amid the ongoing language row, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers were detained by police on Tuesday in Mira Bhayandar while attempting to counter a traders' protest. MNS Thane district chief Avinash Jadhav was taken into preventive custody before the protest began.Avinash Jadhav after his release said that "I am happy that the marathi manus has come together. If i wouldn't have been arrested along with others then this would have been a record breaking rally and this was important. Our party workers who came from neighbouring cities came as they saw the cops taking us into preventive custody. If they hadn't done this, then this would have been a rally full of locals."Also, people who had questioned the percentage of Marathi people in mira bhayander should look at the crowd gathered today. Marathi Manus stood against all odds to gather.
