Tesla and Space X tycoon Elon Musk has once again stirred conversation online after declaring that he is “never committing suicide" during a discussion with podcaster Joe Rogan about the mysterious interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS and theories of extraterrestrial life.
The remark came during a new episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, where Musk joined Rogan to talk about space exploration, alien life and the scientific curiosity surrounding the recently observed comet. During the exchange, Musk said that if he ever found proof of alien life, he would reveal it publicly on Rogan’s show.
“I mean, one thing I can say is, look, if I was aware of any evidence of aliens – Joe, you have my word – I will come on your show and I will reveal it on the show," Musk said, before adding, “I am never committing suicide, to be clear. So, on camera, guys, I am never committing suicide ever."

His statement was made in reference to long-running online conspiracy theories which suggest that people who discover alien secrets or classified information often meet mysterious ends. Musk laughed off such ideas, saying his comment was simply to make things “clear" on record.
Comet 3I/ATLAS, the third confirmed interstellar object to enter our solar system, has attracted global attention for its unusual trajectory and chemical composition. Some scientists, including Harvard astrophysicist Dr Avi Loeb and futurist Michio Kaku, have speculated that its odd behaviour might hint at artificial or alien origins, though many astronomers believe natural causes are more likely.
Musk joked about the comet’s name and composition. “It’s a hell of a name. It sounds like ‘Third Eye’ or something," he said.
When Rogan noted that Loeb observed the comet is largely made of nickel, Musk responded, “There are definitely comets and asteroids that are made primarily of nickel… it doesn’t mean it’s a spaceship. Yeah, it’d be a very sort of heavy spaceship to make it all out of nickel."
NASA classifies 3I/ATLAS as an interstellar object due to its hyperbolic orbit. In recent weeks, multiple spacecraft observed a sudden brightening of the comet near its closest approach to the Sun, producing a striking blue hue, likely caused by intense gas emissions during its perihelion.
