'I want to live in peace': Seer dies by drowning after recording video on life’s uncertainty in Karnataka

KOPPAL: Lakshmayya Swami from Andhra Pradesh died by drowning in the Tungabhadra River near Anegondi on Monday, hours after shooting a video that said: "Whether I will be there or not tomorrow but I want to live in peace with this nature.

"His friends, with whom he had come to Anegondi, said they visited Huligemma Temple in Huligi near Munirabad on Sunday. "He drowned in the river at Anegondi. When we screamed for help, locals came rushing to rescue him. We took him to Anegondi primary health centre. As doctors were unavailable there, we tried moving him to Gangavati taluk hospital. But he died on the way," they added.It is also said Swami came to Anegondi to perform some puja and visit the houses of his devotees. Gangavati Rural police have registered a case.
