Guwahati: Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to stage an Air Force Day flying display over the banks of the Brahmaputra river here on Nov 9, offering the people of Assam and the northeast a rare and thrilling glimpse of India’s aerial supremacy.Defence PRO Lt Col M Rawat said the event will feature frontline fighter jets, transport aircraft, and helicopters performing high-precision aerial manoeuvres in coordinated formations. The display promises a visual symphony of speed, skill, and synchronisation, showcasing the IAF’s cutting-edge technology and elite professionalism.He added that this year’s theme — “Infallible, Impervious and Precise” — reflects the IAF’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, resilience, and mission accuracy.“The flying display will highlight the precision, professionalism, and prowess of the Indian Air Force, offering citizens a rare opportunity to witness the nation’s aerial might up close,” the PRO said.Designated viewing areas will be set up along the riverbank, allowing the public to witness the spectacle first-hand. Beyond the aerial show, the event aims to inspire youth across the northeast, spotlighting career opportunities in the IAF and promoting values of patriotism, discipline, and national service.
