The Twitch supremacy battle now has a new winner. Spanish creator Ibai Llanos has surged past the established giants to claim the title of most-followed streamer worldwide on Twitch.

He has overtaken Ninja and Kai Cenat. The shift follows the record-breaking livestream of Ibai last month, which sent his follower count high up. The move highlights an increased influence of audience diversity and content type within the live-streaming landscape.

Ibai Llanos takes over Twitch giants to become the most-followed streamer

Ibai Llanos is now leading Twitch with his staggering 19.8 million followers, edging out his competitors who used to dominate the platform. Llanos’ journey began as an esports commentator.

It later evolved as Llanos founded his own esports company, alongside a personal channel. Today, he remains deeply involved in hosting frequent marathon commentary sessions.

Llanos' explosive growth came from La Velada del Año 5. It is a Spanish annual boxing event. In 2025, the event shattered all records, pulling 9.3 million concurrent viewers. It was the feat that led Ibai to the top. Beyond boxing, with marathon gaming sessions and esports commentary, Ibai has kept his fans hooked to his channel.

Ninja and Kai Cenat are close behind Ibai Llanos

Right behind Ibai are two other popular streamers–Richard Blevins, aka Ninja, with his 19.2 million followers and Kai Cenat with 18.6 million followers. Ninja, who once was an undisputed leader, built his audience with Fortnite gameplay and his collaborations with many celebrities, including Travis Scott, and others. Though he no longer is in the first place, his influence within gaming industry remains completely unmatched.Kai Cenat's rise, on the other hand, is a testament to the relentless content grind. From the 24-hour Mafiathon streaming to his viral skits, GTA gameplay, and the unpredictable style, he has earned himself a dedicated following. Additionally, his mastery of the internet trends and the guest appearances like Snoop Dogg kept him in the top three position firmly.

Spanish streamers are dominating Twitch

The leaderboard of Twitch followers highlights a growing trend—Spanish creators are now taking over.

From Auronplay (16.9 million) to Rubius (15.8 million) and others, there are other Spanish streamers who are ranking in the top 6 of the leaderboard. They prove that their content has a global appeal. Whether it is via vlogs, gaming or their record-breaking streams, they have made sure to turn Twitch into a multilingual hub.Beyond the above names, streamers like xQc (12.1 million) and Shroud (11.1 million) show that the veteran streamers still have a hold. With shifting loyalties and audience making platform jumps, one thing that remains clear is that, today, the hierarchy of Twitch is more dynamic than it ever was.
