During a recent interaction with Cine Ulagam, Arya spoke about his strong bond with directors like Bala and Pa. Ranjith. He revealed that his trust in them is so deep that he does not even need to hear the full script. Recalling a moment with Ranjith for 'Vettuvam,' Arya said, “He told me, ‘If I tell you the story, you won’t do it… so just do it.’
And the discussion ended there,” adding a laugh. Speaking about Bala, he added humorously, “If Bala sir asks me to act as a donkey, I’ll do it without hesitation.
” He also remembered how he once approached Bala for a role, only to be asked to master an Aghori look within a month before being confirmed as the hero.
‘Sarpatta 2’, ‘Vettuvam’ and a breezy rom-com - Arya plans big
Looking ahead, Arya shared updates about his upcoming projects. He confirmed that 'Sarpatta 2' will go on floors soon, and he has just one month to transform physically.
Talking about 'Vettuvam,' he said the film will be a sports drama set in a unique world, similar in depth to 'Sarpatta Parambarai,' but with elements of Maal Kambu and Adimurai, along with a touch of fiction. On a lighter note, Arya revealed details about his next romantic film, saying, “I’ve been fighting a lot in films recently… so I decided in this one, I’ll speak only to heroines and not to boys,” describing it as an emotional rom-com in the space of Raja Rani.
