IGNOU french language admission 2025 open for MAFL and CFL at Ranchi centre

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened admissions for its French language programs at the Ranchi Regional Centre. The programs offered are the Master of Arts in French (MAFL) and the Certificate in French Language (CFL).

Candidates applying for MAFL program must meet one of the following eligibility conditions: They should have completed a three-year undergraduate degree in French from a recognised Indian or foreign university; or hold any undergraduate degree with at least four semesters (two years) of French as a major subject at the undergraduate level along with a diploma in French at the B1 level; or possess any undergraduate degree along with a three-year UGC-prescribed advanced diploma in French (Level B2) obtained from a recognised university or certified institution as per university regulations. The duration of the MAFL program is a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years. The program fee is ₹7,000 per year.

The Certificate in French Language (CFL) program requires candidates to have completed 10+2 and be at least 18 years of age. The duration of the program is six months minimum and two years maximum. The program fee is ₹6,600.
