The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the application form correction window for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026. This extension gives candidates additional time to make crucial corrections to their applications, ensuring that personal and academic details are accurate before the exam.
JAM 2026 is a key gateway for admission into postgraduate programs at IITs, covering seven papers including Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and more. Candidates can now edit information such as name, date of birth, gender, category, exam city, and test papers until November 13, 2025.

The deadline for correcting JAM 2026 applications has been extended to 13 November 2025, giving candidates additional time to ensure that all details in their application are accurate.
This extension provides an opportunity to carefully review personal and academic information. Timely and correct submissions are crucial, as mistakes or delays in updating the application may affect a candidate’s eligibility or the allocation of seats in postgraduate programs across IITs.
How to make edits online
Here is how candidates can make corrections in their JAM 2026 forms
- Go to the official JAM portal: jam2026.iitb.ac.in
- Log in using your registered credentials.
- Click on the Application Correction link.
- Make the required corrections carefully.
- Pay any additional fees if applicable.
- Submit the corrected application before 13 November 2025.
IIT JAM 2026 exam date and pattern
The JAM 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on 15 February 2026 and will be conducted in two sessions, namely the Forenoon and Afternoon sessions.
The test will take place across 114 cities in India. JAM 2026 will cover seven papers: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH). Candidates are advised to carefully select their preferred paper(s) and exam city during the application process, ensuring that their choices align with their academic background and preparation plans.
