A legal battle has erupted over the use of veteran composer Ilaiyaraaja's iconic songs in Ajith's film 'Good Bad Ugly'. The makers are seeking court permission to reuse the tracks after a temporary ban, with the hearing set for October 23. Meanwhile, the film's streaming version has been updated with new background music.

Ajith's film 'Good Bad Ugly', which was released in April, features some old songs used in fight scenes. In particular, there were scenes featuring the song 'Ilamai Itho Itho' from the film 'Sakalakala Vallavan' and the songs 'Otha Rupa Tharen' for Arjun Das' entry in the film.

Music composer Ilayairaaja, who composed the original version, filed a case in court claiming that permission had not been obtained for this. Following this, the court issued an order temporarily banning the use of Ilayaraja's songs in the film.
