Panaji: All 14 rain gauge stations across Goa recorded more than 10 inches of rainfall since the onset of the post-monsoon season on Oct 1, according to data collated by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Pernem registered the highest rainfall at 23 inches so far, while Sanguem reported the lowest, with 10 inches till Thursday morning.Despite substantial post-monsoon showers, weather conditions turned relatively dry in recent days. “Northeast monsoon (Oct–Dec), contributes to about 6.4% of Goa’s mean annual rainfall, as per climatological records. Temperature in Panaji and Mormugao dropped by around 2.4°C and are currently around 31°C. Minimum temperatures are hovering at 23°C in Panaji and 23.2°C in Mormugao, while relative humidity levels remain high at 93% and 90% respectively.IMD has forecast dry weather conditions across North and South Goa from Nov 8 to 12, signalling the onset of the winter season.
