IMS BHU hosts gynaecology ultrasound workshop focused on Adnexal Masses and Endometriosis

VARANASI: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in association with the Department of Radiology, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, organised a one-day “Gynaecology Ultrasound Workshop” at the Prof.

K.N. Udupa Auditorium on Sunday. Themed “Unfolding the Enigma of Adnexal Masses and Endometriosis,” the workshop aimed to enhance clinical expertise in diagnostic ultrasound and promote advanced approaches in women’s health care. The programme was led by Prof. Sangeeta Rai of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Prof. Amit Nandan Dwivedi, the Head of the Department, Department of Radiology.The workshop brought together leading gynaecologists, radiologists, and postgraduate students from across the region, offering an enriching blend of expert lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on ultrasound training sessions.

Among the highlights were the outstanding presentations by Dr. Mala Sibal and Dr. Ladbans Kaur, whose engaging talks offered deep insights into advanced ultrasound imaging techniques and practical approaches for accurate diagnosis.

Participants gained updated knowledge on cutting-edge imaging techniques, refined their diagnostic acumen, and shared best practices for the effective management of adnexal masses and endometriosis.

Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, organising secretary, said that the scientific programme was appreciated for its well-structured content, practical learning modules, and emphasis on fostering collaboration between clinicians and academicians. Prof. Sanjay Gupta, Dean, IMS BHU, commended the initiative for its clinical relevance and academic excellence.The workshop saw the participation of several eminent gynaecologists from the city, including Prof. Anuradha Khanna, Dr. Sudha Singh, Dr. Archana Shah, Dr. Neelam Ohri, Prof. Sulekha Pandey, Prof. L.K.
