Heavy rain batters Rajasthan, with flooding reported in several areas

Torrential rains have wreaked havoc across Rajasthan, flooding vast areas, damaging roads, and cutting off connectivity in several regions. Two women lost their lives in rain-related incidents, while hundreds have been evacuated to safer locations. The downpour has triggered a flood-like situation in eight districts, with Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, and Bundi worst hit. Bundi’s Nainwa recorded the state’s heaviest rainfall, receiving 502 mm in just 24 hours, as forecasts warn of more rain, particularly in eastern Rajasthan.
