The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that Telangana will receive heavy to very heavy rains in the next 72 hours across the state from Wednesday (August 13, 2025).
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed the officials to take all necessary safety measures to avoid the loss of life during heavy rains and also ensure no vehicle movement on the flooding bridges, canals, streams and causeways brimming with heavy flows in the low lying areas, reads an official press release.

The public infrastructure across Himachal Pradesh remains impacted as the monsoon continues to lash the state, with death toll has climbed to 240. A total of 330 roads, 198 electricity distribution transformers (DTRs), and 141 water supply schemes reported disruptions in the last 24 hours, according to the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA).
