How did a cosmologist end up consulting for BCCI?
I had been freelancing for ESPN-cricinfo for a few years when I started writing using ball-tracking data in 2021. One of those articles, on Axar Patel and his anomalous angles, caught Rahul Dravid’s eye.
He emailed me, we got chatting, and he asked if I could help a bit with the team. Who could say no to that? I was formally taken on board by Sept 2022 and worked on assisting the coaching staff remotely for the next two years.
