Manush Shah and Diya Chitale in action (WTT)
India’s Manush Shah and Diya Chitale have etched their names in the history books, becoming the first-ever Indian mixed doubles pair to qualify for the prestigious WTT Finals.
The season-ending event, which features only the top 16 men’s and women’s singles players and top seven mixed doubles pairs (plus one host wildcard), will be held in Hong Kong from December 10–14, 2025, boasting a USD 1.3 million prize pool.
The final lineup is determined through the WTT Series Finals Race rankings, based on performances up to the WTT Star Contender Muscat (November 17–22). Shah and Chitale, currently ranked world No. 8 in mixed doubles, have secured their berth as the fifth pair to officially qualify.
Their consistent performances across the 2025 season, including deep runs at multiple WTT Contender and Star Contender events, have helped the Indian duo break new ground for Indian table tennis.
The qualification marks a major milestone for India in world table tennis, highlighting the country’s growing presence on the global stage.
