In a scathing attack on Pakistan, Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi accused Islamabad of harbouring some of the world’s most wanted terrorists and promoting what she described as a global “free terrorist arrangement." Speaking at an event in London as part of an Indian multi-party delegation, Chaturvedi drew sharp contrasts between India’s economic diplomacy and Pakistan’s terror links.

“India is looking at trade, economy, and commerce while they are looking at a free terrorist arrangement across the world. That is what we need to expose," she said, noting that India has recently concluded free trade agreements with countries like the UK and Australia, and is negotiating similar pacts with the EU and the US.

The difference between India and Pakistan is this, while India is signing FTA – Free Trade Agreement, Pakistan is indulging in its own version of FTA- Free Terrorism Arrangement globally. Highlighting Pakistan’s long-standing record of providing safe haven to terrorists, Chaturvedi remarked, “While we host the G20, they host the T20. The top 20 terrorists of the world will be found being hosted by the Pakistani state government. It is their stated policy."

Citing the example of Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, who was found and killed in Abbottabad, Pakistan, she accused Islamabad of aiding, financing, and sheltering terrorists while pretending to be an ally of the West. “They shake hands with you, but they bite you on your back," she added.

Chaturvedi also praised India’s armed forces for the strikes carried out under Operation Sindoor, launched after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 that claimed 26 lives. She said over 100 terrorists had been killed in the operation, preventing potential terror attacks not just in India but across the world. “The world should be thanking the armed forces of India for doing what they did," she said.

Referring to the Pahalgam attack, Chaturvedi recalled how the terrorists had asked victims their religion before killing them, in an attempt to divide the country. “India doesn’t stand divided. India stands united, and it’s our diversity that we celebrate, the diversity that brings this unity," she said.

The Indian delegation, led by BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad and comprising MPs Daggubati Purandeswari, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Amar Singh, Samik Bhattacharya, former union minister MJ Akbar, and Ambassador Pankaj Saran, is among seven teams dispatched to 33 global capitals to convey India’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism following the Pahalgam attack.

This international campaign follows the launch of Operation Sindoor on 7 May, where India conducted precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
