The extension of New Delhi-Moga Express will benefit passengers.
Train to Punjab, New Delhi-Moga Express: The Ministry of Railways has approved the extension of the New Delhi–Moga Express up to Firozpur Cantonment. This extension fulfills a long-pending demand of residents from Ferozpur and nearby regions. The train is being operated and maintained by the Northern Railway (NR) zone.
Extension of New Delhi-Moga Express
The extension of New Delhi-Moga Express will not only benefit passengers but also give a significant boost to trade and connectivity in the region. However, it is yet to be confirmed when the train will begin operating as the New Delhi–Firozpur Cantt Express instead of the existing New Delhi–Moga Intercity.
New Delhi-Firozpur Cantt Intercity: Train number, distance, travel time
Train number 22485/22486 New Delhi-Firozpur Cantt-New Delhi Express will cover a distance of more than 400 km in eight hours.
New Delhi-Firozpur Cantt Express: Stoppages
During its journey between New Delhi and Firozpur Cantt, the train number 22485/22486 will stop at 13 stations along the route. These are: Shakurbasti, Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, Jind, Narwana, Tohana, Jakhal, Lehra Gaga, Sangrur, Dhuri, Ludhiana, Jagraon and Moga.
New Delhi-Firozpur Cantt Express: Timing
The train will depart from New Delhi (at 07:00 hrs) via Jakhal and Ludhiana, arriving at Moga at 13:57 hrs, departing at 13:59 hrs, and reaching Ferozpur Cantt at 15:00 hrs. On the return journey, it will leave Ferozpur Cantt at 15:35 hrs and arrive in Delhi at 23:35 hrs.
New Delhi-Firozpur Cantt Express: Frequency, Coach composition
The New Delhi–Firozpur Cantt Express will operate twice a week, departing from New Delhi on Mondays and Fridays. The return service, Firozpur Cantt–New Delhi Express, will also run on the same days. The train has two types of seating arrangements: Second Sitting (2S) and AC Chair Car.
