IndiGo Advisory: Amid tensions in Qatar, IndiGo issued an advisory, asking travellers to check their flight status. It also stated that some of the flights may experience delays or diversions due to the ongoing situation.
“We recommend checking your flight status regularly. If your flight is impacted, alternate options can be easily explored through our website. We continue to monitor the situation closely in coordination with the relevant authorities. We appreciate your patience and understanding," added IndiGo in an official statement.
Multiple explosions were reported over Qatar’s capital, Doha, as Iran launched six missiles targeting US military bases. Axios, citing an Israeli official, confirmed that the missiles were aimed at American troops stationed in Qatar.
Reuters also reported blasts heard across the capital, marking what is being described as the largest Iranian strike on US airbases in the Gulf nation.
Qatar’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that its air defences successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting Al Udeid Air Base. The ministry said there were no injuries or deaths, thanks to the quick response of the armed forces and earlier safety measures.
It reassured the public that Qatar’s airspace and territory remain safe and that the military is fully prepared to respond to any threat. Citizens and residents are advised to follow official sources for accurate updates and guidance.
