Inside Millie Bobby Brown’s life with an unbelievable pack of pets and a new baby

Imagine swapping red-carpet glam for muddy boots, swapping sure-footed heels for running after goats, welcome to the world of Millie Bobby Brown. She’s the 21-year-old actress whose face lit up screens in Stranger Things, yet these days she’s as likely to be found tending a donkey’s dinner as prepping for a movie role. While Millie’s name might be synonymous with Hollywood, her heart evidently lies somewhere far away from the studio lights. In a recent interview with British Vogue she revealed she and her husband, Jake Bongiovi (yes, the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi) live on a sprawling farm in Georgia. There she’s got not just one or two pets, but a literal menagerie. As she put it: “I have 25 farm animals, then 23 foster dogs, then 10 dogs inside the house that are my personal dogs, and four cats.

"One of the farm animals is a donkey, Betsy, who is pregnant, while one of her personal dogs is 18-year-old Rigby, a blind dachshund who found a new lease on life after Brown adopted him," DailyBeast reported. “I had a 200-pound sheep in my house at one point,” she told the British Vogue. “He was ripping my curtains down.” Millie lightly jokes that she’s become the “doula” for her animals. When asked why donkeys, she explained: “They will kill a dog if they see a dog.

The reason I got them is because I get coyotes, so I got a donkey to deter the coyotes from eating my little dogs.”

A new chapter: Motherhood

And just as her animal family has grown, so has Millie’s human one. In August, Millie and Jake quietly welcomed a baby girl through adoption. The Instagram announcement read: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3…”Millie has spoken before about wanting a family young—her own mom had her first child at 21, and Millie says that idea of motherhood was “my thing” even before she met Jake.

She also stressed that for her, adoption is just as meaningful as a biological child: “For me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different [than] adopting.” What’s fascinating is how Millie is weaving all parts of her life together. On one hand, she’s still the star of major projects, on the other hand, she’s pulling on boots, mucking stalls, cuddling rescued dogs, and prepping for baby-talk. From child star to adult actor, from screen to farm, from single life to family of three—it’s all in motion.
